Or so I thought! The girls went back to school last Monday so I thought I'd be getting plenty done during school hours - how wrong was I?!!!! With Alex changing schools and Isabella moving into the Senior wing of her school, it was a week of changes that needed lots of following up and chasing around by yours truly :) Still it was worth it as they both had great weeks and have settled in beautifully. Maybe this week might have room for a little 'me' time.
Talking about serene, I just love this photo of Miss Alex! She always manges to have such a relaxed air about her in photos which doesn't show the 100 miles an hour that she moves at in real life (along with the non stop talking!)
Manor House Creations products used: Papers – Believe Us Together and Lace. Flowers – Colourwash Denim Blues (altered with Turquoise mist), Tea Roses Soft Gold (altered with Gesso), Vinette in White, Poetry in Sage and Light Green Leaves. Embellishments – Flourish Ornate Frames in White, Flexible Words – LOVE in black.
The large blue flower to the right of the photo and down on the bottom left hand side is one of the gorgeous Colourwash flowers from Manor House Creations. The image below shows how the flower started originally and then how it was split apart and misted. The little plastic container is what I popped over the top of the stamens so that they stay white – it saves getting your hands covered in your misting sprays!
Right I'd better go and check those school bags ready for an early start tomorrow :)
